Session 1: Bringing the number system to Life! Teaching place value, base ten and magnitude using exciting real-life contexts. Developing a fascination for number in everyday life!


Session 2: Bringing Problem-Solving to Life! Exciting new ways of planning using Karen’s innovative ‘Maths Sandwich’ approach, teaching using ‘goal-less problems to develop reasoning and how to adapt and improve existing problems from textbooks and schemes.


Session 3: Bringing Maths to Life Across the Curriculum! Teaching the maths curriculum through D&T, Geography, Science, Art and more! How we can offer ‘double maths’ by making the use of skills explicit across the curriculum giving maths purpose and application!
