Karen Wilding
Karen Wilding (nee Burfitt) is an experienced Primary Practitioner, Senior Manager and Local Authority Consultant who has worked for over twenty years within Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. As both a Mathematics’ Subject Leader and Primary Strategy Consultant, she has facilitated significant improvements in the teaching of mathematics within both the maintained and independent sectors.
Karen is now an Independent Consultant for Primary Mathematics supporting a wide range of schools. As an associate of The National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM), she is involved in the promotion of high quality maths provision on a local and national scale.
Karen is passionate about developing genuine understanding in mathematics leading to greater confidence and enjoyment for all learners and teachers.
Karen Wilding provides high quality, bespoke maths training and support for schools all over the UK. In addition to many exciting UK based projects, Karen is also a co-writer for the Bahrain Numeracy Strategy, producing materials and lesson plans for a new nationwide Middle Eastern maths curriculum.
